Training on Summerfest
A huge part of leading on Summerfest is the great training that you get.
“Train for a lifetime of ministry” is one of the 3 aims of Summerfest. We seek to train our leaders to be better equiped to serve Jesus once Summerfest is over. A big part of this is the evagelism training we run during our mid-year meetings and over Summerfest- which we put into practice when we go door knocking most afternoons during Summerfest. A number of the staff from EV Church paricipate in training the Summerfest Team, and previous leaders have said this is the stand-out feature of Summerfest for them.
Purpose &Futility
Another element of Summerfest Training is the evening talks/seminars called “Summer Sessions”. The training topic for the Summerfest “SUMMER SESSIONS” in 2010 was:
Purpose & Futility.
Meaningless, meaningless. Everything is meaningless… Or is it?
At Summerfest 2010 we’re exporing the idea of ‘Purpose and Futility‘… “What is my purpose in life”, “what does a futile life look like”, “how do I know if I’m wasting my life”, “what is God’s will for me?”
We’re not afraid to ask the big questions- and during our evening Summer Sessions we’ll look at what God has to say in the bible as we think through this big topic.
